Launch of the Fiftysix collection in Singapore
On Thursday 27th September 2018 and Friday 28th September 2018, Vacheron Constantin hostedguests at The NCO Club for the launch of the Fiftysix® collection in Singapore. Guests were first treated to a series of masterclasses at various locations, followed by a soulful performance by English singersongwriter Will Heard, tunefully accompanying the presentation of the new Fiftysix® collection.
For Vacheron Constantin, the Fiftysix® collection pays tribute to the glorious 1950’s, a time marked by easy to wear and elegantly designed watches. From the automatic movement to the glass box crystal or the distinctive lugs design, a specialty of the Maison, the Fiftysix® brings back the best of this period while fully embracing the present time and the modern expectations of high watchmaking lovers. Similarly, the rich heritage of the NCO Club can be tracked back to 1952, which then served as a social amenity for noncommissioned officers and their families. Today, this building is being conserved into a prestigious modern lifestyle location, with historic finishes still intact.
Highlighting a watch event that drew more than 200 guests over the 2 days, guests were invited to step into the exceptional universe of Fiftysix® as they were treated to a series of masterclasses which included strap-making, how to style a classic blazer for formal and casual wear and learning the fundamentals of beat matching and mixing at a DJ class. Guests also visited a hidden space for a 1950s gin appreciation workshop and a vinyl store to learn about the tips and tricks of vinyls.
Celebrating music and haute horlogerie, English singer-songwriter, Will Heard, performed a live solo acoustic showcase for the first time in Singapore. Known for his unique blend of jazz, hip-hop and soul, with an added element of funk, Will Heard took to the stage with his guitar and songs from his latest debut EP, Trust.
The new Fiftysix® collection is available from 1st September 2018 at all Vacheron Constantin boutiques as well as the Maison’s authorized distributors’ networks.
