Watchmaking Emotions by Vacheron Constantin at Harrods

LONDON, July 2019 – Vacheron Constantin announces its exhibition ‘WATCHMAKING EMOTIONS’ at Harrods, Knightsbridge.

In the exquisite atrium of Harrods’ Fine Watch department, Vacheron Constantin unveils its exclusive exhibition that will thrill devotees of Haute Horlogerie.

The exhibition transports customers on an artistic journey of emotions as they experience the scenography within the infinity mirror windows. A Vacheron Constantin timepiece is the centre of attention within each scene that depict the international and cultural translation of the emotions evoked by the timepieces and their universe: the desire elicited by the majestic shade of blue on the dial of the Fiftysix, the excitement at witnessing the hypnotic movement of the Malte tourbillon or the butterflies in your stomach at the sight of the intricate guilloché dial of the Traditionnelle.

Emotions transcend cultures and nationalities. So choosing Harrods as the destination to exhibit this one off exhibition was the obvious choice for the Maison. Christophe Ramel, Brand Director Vacheron Constantin UK explains further “As a Maison committed to beautiful high watchmaking since 1755, Vacheron Constantin is proud to present this exclusive exhibition with Harrods, the world’s most emblematic department store and our long-time partner. Watchmaking Emotions truly highlights our joint commitment to art and creativity and our openness to the world.”

Beth Hannaway, General Merchandise Manager Fine Jewellery & Fine Watches, commented: “Having launched our new Vacheron Constantin boutique in late 2017, alongside the total transformation of Harrods Fine Watches department, we are thrilled to continue this partnership now with the launch of the beautiful Watchmaking Emotions exhibition. We were inspired by the spirit of this exhibition and are delighted to bring it to life at Harrods this summer. We always strive to offer our clients something new and exciting to discover each time they visit our Knightsbridge home, and see this as the perfect story to tell this summer, celebrating the individual interpretations of love and excitement, unique to each country, a selection of which are on display here. This exhibition also perfectly heroes the launch of two new Traditionnelle watches, exclusive to Harrods, which we have been delighted to partner with Vacheron Constantin to create. We truly hope that our clients will delight in exploring this exhibition and uncovering the new creations as much as we have.

Collectors and connoisseurs alike will have the chance to discover the exhibition in the Fine Watch Room at Harrods until 12th September.
